Dr. Nilufar Mammadova (Dr. Nilu) is an Aesthetic Doctor with over five years of successful clinical experience in both surgical and non-surgical procedures across Turkey and the United Kingdom. She has actively participated in more than 400 surgical operations of varying complexity, gaining extensive hands-on expertise and a deep understanding of patient care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nilu has had the privilege of working alongside some of the most respected surgeons and aesthetic doctors in Turkey and the UK. These collaborations have refined her technical skills, broadened her knowledge, and shaped her distinctive approach to aesthetics.
Her medical journey began in Paediatrics (2002–2008) at Azerbaijan State Medical University. However, witnessing the challenges faced by parents whose children required urgent surgical care inspired her to pursue a career in Surgery, where she felt she could make a greater impact.
As part of her early training, Dr. Nilu completed a Clinical Internship in Neonatology at Hacettepe University Medical School, Turkey (2007). This invaluable experience combined academic study with direct exposure in the operating theatre, where she observed live surgical operations and the management of asphyxia and congenital conditions in newborns.
In 2013, she joined the Topcubasov Scientific Surgery Centre, one of Azerbaijan’s leading institutions for cardiac surgery, as a Junior Surgeon Assistant. This role marked the beginning of her advanced surgical training and clinical practice.
Her passion for aesthetics led her to London in 2021, where she was accepted into the prestigious postgraduate programme in Aesthetic Surgery at University College London (UCL), Division of Surgery and Interventional Science. She successfully graduated in 2023 with a Postgraduate Diploma. During her programme, she undertook observerships and assistantships at the Royal Free Hospital and attended lectures and masterclasses delivered by internationally recognised surgeons and aesthetic professionals from Europe and the United States.
In August 2022, Dr. Nilu further advanced her surgical training at Acibadem Hospital Taksim, Istanbul. Over the course of the programme, she observed 22 surgical procedures, ranging from maxillofacial trauma repair and microsurgical interventions to complex aesthetic surgeries such as Brazilian Butt Lift, breast reduction and augmentation, abdominoplasty, full face and neck lifts, blepharoplasty, and congenital eye ptosis repair. She also presented on Upper and Lower Eyelid Anatomy to the surgical team, gained practical experience in a Hair Transplant Clinic, and scrub-assisted in advanced body contouring and breast augmentation procedures.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Nilu has co-organised medical events, participated in externships, and contributed to knowledge exchange within her field. She also dedicates time to volunteering at a local charity supporting women and girls, while sharing her insights and experiences through her professional blog.
With a solid foundation in medicine, a strong international background, and a passion for aesthetics, Dr. Nilu combines medical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver natural, personalised results for her patients.
